Dear Friends of the Shaman Conference Community,
We hope you enjoyed the 30th annual International Shamanism Conference as much as we did. Your presence is what makes it such a success!
On behalf of the Society for the Study of Shamanism, Healing and Transformation, we are asking you, our community, for assistance. The conference team has encountered an unfortunate situation post-event that we are seeking help with.
Acteva, our online-registration provider, has defaulted in distributing the funds collected when each one of you made your payment for the conference. This means that the Society has not received any of the registration fees collected from March to September.
Acteva is in default with many non-profit organizations, overall owing over 5 million dollars. We have taken steps to rectify this wrongdoing. We have filed a formal complaint with the Attorney General of the State of California, the District Attorney of S.F and Contra Costa County, and the Better Business Bureau. We have no way of knowing if this situation will ever be rectified. Your prayers and blessings are welcomed!

In the meantime, the conference organization is responsible for paying the bill to Santa Sabina Center. We are responsible for the full amount by December 2013. Any and all monetary contributions from you will help us - no matter how big or small.
As a nonprofit, all donations received by the Society for the Study of Shamanism, Healing and Transformation are tax-deductible. The conference team is made up entirely of volunteers. No one receives any pay for the many hours of work we contribute all year long. We are glad to do the work, but we need your help, especially under the current circumstances.
As you know, our mission is to bring together shamans and healers from around the world, to promote a better understanding of healing and how it contributes to restoring the well-being of humanity and our planet.
Please consider what you can do to lend your support. A tax-deductible donation of any amount would be appreciated. Make your check payable to: The Society for the Study of Shamanism, Healing and Transformation. Mail to: Society for the Study of Shamanism, Healing and Transformation, PO Box 1855, Sebastopol, CA 95473 Or: Use your credit card and donate online through our PayPal account:
Thank you so much for your consideration of this request.
Sincerely, The Conference Team –
