Natem is a Shuar Uwishin (traditional healer) from the Ecuadorian Amazon, raised in their traditional ways deep in the jungle. He comes from a long line of Uwishin and his mother, Nunkai, was an amazing herbal healer. Their deep connection to the Great Spirit ARUTAM TSUNKI and their knowledge of plants was the key to their survival.
Natem’s mission is to share the wisdom of his ancestors with all who are interested and to preserve Shuar traditions that are disappearing at an alarming rate. He will share information he has received about what is most important for the planet at this time. Any funds he receives from this event will go towards Shuar cultural preservation projects including a traditional plant rescue effort.
